Amy Lou Adams is an American actor whom has received praise for her portrayals of sweet and innocent characters. Adams was born and was raised in Castle Rock Colorado, as the youngest child of seven. Her father was serving in U.S. service in Italy. Adams began performing and dancing professionally at the end of the 90s. She was part of Boulder Dinner Theatre, and later The Country Dinner Playhouse. Following her move to Minnesota, she starred in an undocumentary-style film called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998) about beauty pageants. After her screen debut that was successful, in which she played an unfriendly, but obnoxious contestant, Janet moved into Los Angeles where she began professional acting. In the decade that followed, she appeared in many popular films including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), and Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
